Your Fashion Style is Urban |
You've got a style all your own... and it works Not too trendy, not too freaky - you've got streetwear down to a science You always look cute and put together, but keep it comfortable too You're the type of girl that creates trends and inspires others to be funky |
Not bad. I like what I see...
Speaking about Fashion, me & Grumpy had a conversation on Monday..
Me: I choose my V.Day present liao. You just need to do payment. =)
G(G for Grumpy): Huh? So fast? What did you choose?
Me: A new arrived Guess? watch. Bronze one, super nice! Limited edition some more..
G: ..... then the price sure also limited edition lah....
Me: yup. Over the budget you gave me, but it's ok. I'll top up the difference lor. I like limited edition.
G: Ya lah, i know you don't like to have same fashion piece as others...
Me: =D -hug- So you pay all lah?! -hug hug hug-
G: !?
Please note, the point is not my supreme negotiating skills, but the fact I don't like to share the same fashion sense as others. Mine might not be super duper chic, neither is it Diva-ish. But it'll do, coz it's just.. ME.
And in life, I had come across my fair share of copy-cats, i think everybody does. In a stage that one is still clueless in the fashion direction he/she's heading for. No idea what stands for oneself. But mind you, this should be a temporary stage.
I once met a hard-core one, she used to be my ex-colleagues from push-cart days. She's always "coincident" bought the same stuff as me. I didn't take it into heart at first, until my then-boss commented that
"wa, you girls are so close ah.. you both are turning twins!"
That drew the alarm in me, and I started to take close notes of what she's buying. Upon confirmation, I confronted her. Again & again.. suan-ing & suan-ing. Till she admitted, not before highlighting to me that it's my honor that people want to "consult me" (since when?) on fashion thingy. Duh.
Back to now, I'm less preaky. I'd love to share an item or two with my very closed ones. It's a bond. But only limited to closed ones. And because of this, my secretary is freaking me out.

Size Matters
Tuesday, January 24, 2006
Believe it or not, this guy is 550kg.He can't walk, can't work. And his wife walked out of him, seeing him in this state. Now, he's afraid that he'd die, and is appealing to the science world to save him.But is it possible?Without this picture, I don't think i'd believe that a man can reach 500+kg, but he's huge even as a teenager, standing at 1.95m and 200+kg.He's now in his forties...I hope someone do something, quick. Before his heart give up on him.

Slow Motion

One of my friend MSN me asking why my update of blog seems fewer. My answer is simply -- NO TIME.
I hate the start & end of the year. I would be running around like a mad woman, arranging our annual overseas seminar, agency meeting material & other stuff which my boss throw on me (Endless!), and end up getting sick. Like now. Flu + cough, with no company GP to give me free medication. I feed on Panadol Cold. =( MalaccaWas away from 14th to 16th, for the seminar @ Malacca. All hell broke loose for me 2days before the trip, gotta run the material for the organisation level, and agency level. Nightmare. And out of sudden, mistakes/cock-up appeared everywhere. I nearly lost my mind.Reaching there, it's a sleepless night for me on the first night in Malacca. As the seminar was on the 2nd day, i kept on fearing that I would oversleep. Resulting in me waking up to check my mobile for time on a hourly basis. Sad.When the seminar ended, I'm so exhausted, I passed out while watching TV. Mind you, I was sitting. My colleagues had a fright, thinking I've fainted. Well well, it's all over now. Till 2007, that is..Yesterday was mahjong day. And my lucky day! =DI won $30!! So happy... But poor grumpy, lost more than $30! Aiyo aiyo...Now at work, trying to finish ALL my stuff before going for Chinese New Year. Don't wanna bring my workload over to the new year. My wish for the new year:That grumpy can fulfill his QC-credit, got promoted. And I can got out of this shit-hole! =)

Long Overdue
Thursday, January 12, 2006
It's been some time since I updated.. This is due to crazy workload. I don't even have time to eat or pee, to breathe itself, is considered a luxury.
Now sitting in front of the LCD-screen, I have 101 things to say, but where should I start? Good or bad? Happy or sad?
First thing first, I had finally given up on waiting for the damn Nokia, and is now a proud owner of Samsung D600! So far so good. It's quite user-friendly, except for the SMS, due to the keypad differences from Nokia, am still in the process of adapting.. So friends, if I'm taking a year to reply your sms, just remember I'm trying my best. Pictures taken from my new mobile...
Wisma Atria had been transformed into a food paradize! Alot of nice food, and the a very thick CNY atmosphere. Maybe due to all the red lanterns..
The food we ordered. The claypot rice was marvelous! But the portion too small, both Grumpy & me didn't have enough of it =(
I found this very interesting. In the foodcourt, there are various carts like this selling items like dim sum, beverages, ice-cream & kajiam-puteh.. Innovative! The stall-keepers even wore costume!
Muahaha! And this is the first earring I purchased off the Internet. I've just received it via post last night. COOL, i tell you, the thing is nicer then it look from the picture, really.

And now for the sad part.
On 10 January 2006, ten days since the beginning of the new year, Snow White passed away. She went peacefully of old age. On her 12th year of life.
May she go to a place where there's no more pain, where light is all bright, and the view is all crystal clear, where voice is heard clearly, like clear water running. There will be many dogs around, urging her to play, and she, no longer burden down by an aged body, and run carefreely. Grassland everywhere, sunshine whole day long, and her favourite "Begging Stripes" aplenty.

Meaning a good start. The Chinese believes in having a good beginning, as the "goodness" will be spread throughout the year. If you have new clothes in the New Year, there will be plentiful of new clothes waiting for you throughout the year.. And so on..
So look what Grumpy & me did...
Mr. Grumpy... after a kiss... became the Singapore typical Chow-Ah-Beng... with blond streak to boot! And my very-in-but-not-very-obvious red streak... Wonder if I can get some awards like Quen Yi Feng? Muahaha! Welcome the Ah-Beng-Ah-Lian combo...And a very Happening 2006!P/s: To facilitate viewer.. I've linked up the pictures, so click on it to view... =)
