Another episode that emphasize the poor fate of dogs.
They can’t tell you that they are in pain; they can’t tell you that they are suffering. All they have is the faith & trust in you that you can make everything right again.
But how many owners actually show enough attention to notice something is wrong? How many owners will not care about the money and just focus on getting their dogs healthy & happy again?
I don’t think one need to be a hardcore dog-owner to do this. This should be the
very basic. They are not toys for you to chunk aside once they are not cute. Even if you do, they still love you.
Because you are the WORLD to them.
But are you worth their love? Are you?

Wrong Sequence
Monday, March 23, 2009
The sequence is all wrong.
The correct order should be:
1 – Hit the club
2 – Order shots or order drinks and drown it all down
3 – Get high
4 – Hit the dance floor & dance the high away
5 – Go home sober
But Saturday at St. James turn out otherwise.
1 – Hit the club
But there wasn’t much crowded, which lead to no mood to dance. DID NOT drink.
2 – Watch performance soberly
3 – Play guessing number games SOBERLY
4 – Finally there’s a crowd, get the shots, drown the mega thick cranberry vodka (Thanks Alex!) and WHAM! at the peak and about to lost myself in the music.
Tap on the shoulders. “Eh… we are going home already…”
!?!?!?!
So I went home right at the peak of my “highness”. I don’t remember paying for the cab fare, I don’t even remember how I make it home. Mum commented about being a wife getting dead drunk, will be throw out like a dead dog. I ask her how she knew and she said one of my heels was in the kitchen, another was right in front of the dinning table.
Talking about a dog covering its track. Sigh.
Grumpy sure had fun by himself though. Humph!

The Other Side of the Scale…
Wednesday, March 18, 2009
THEN, 1970s
The government encouraged couples to “stop at 2”. I am sure the advertisements of children sharing the food – the more children, the less food each gets – are still etched in most baby boomers’ mind.
NOW, 2009
The government is encouraging couple to “not stop at 2”, the more the merrier, baby bonus increase with direct relations to the no. of kids you have.
THEN, 1970s
Government encouraged people to stop using dialects when at home. Speak in English, so your children will be linked to the World.
NOW, 2009
Very few of us can hold a decent conversation in proper Mandarin, without peppering all the nouns with English, let alone writing an article. We are encouraged to speak Chinese to the children at home now.
40 years is all it takes to take us to the other end of the scale.
