Two Side of the Coin
Tuesday, July 28, 2009
Grumpy and I had yet another talk on the issues of punctuality.
And amidst the arguement, a statement came out...

"I had purposedly waited for you to knock off so I can fetch you home. Coz you told me you hated the taxi rides, they make you sick. And you can't rest coz the taxi-uncle keep talking toy you."

I haven't count on him to remember such a casual remark. Especially since that I had said this donkey-ages ago.

Sigh. How to be angry with this man!?

i have had enough of waiting
Thursday, July 23, 2009
Isn't my time, TIME?
How can I insert the word "PUNCTUAL" into your dictionary?

I am just sick to the core...

Just when my day is at it's worst, I still have to wait. Forever a 2nd-class citizen. I'm always there for support & care, but all these are always not around when I need it. Only the damn WAIT it around.

Accident
Wednesday, July 22, 2009
It’s not the sight of the big pool of blood on the road that affects me, but the bloody helmet that had dropped to the side of the road and had stopped by the traffic light. It sent shivers down my spine and a dread feeling settled at the pit of my stomach. I worried about the state of the cyclist’s head, since the helmet had flown off such a distance.

One side of the motorcycle was totally ruined. One of handles were crushed down to tiny pieces, the fuel tank was dented but luckily, not broken. The cyclist laid on his back, and paramedics had arrived. I finally felt myself breathing when I saw he was still able to reply the paramedics’ question. A young lad, probably one of the army guys from Nee Soon Camp.

Blood filled up the entire 3rd lane.
It’s strange how the big pool of blood seems to glow under the headlights of many passing car.

And the guilty-looking red car was park by the side of the road. Two young drivers, one was protected by a metal-shield, another was only protected by a metal HEAD-shield.

I gave a silent prayer of thanks.
I hope my little brother will NEVER pass the test. NEVER get to take the test, I’d rather pay for all his cab fare to Changi/Tuas in return to have him come home grouchily (about expensive cab fares) to his PC everynight.

Of course I trust him (not) to be a responsible driver, but sometimes the accident may not be the fault of the motorcyclist. There are just too many bastardly driver on the road, thinking they are protected by their metal shield to give a thought to these cyclists.

$30+ for my good night sleep. I think it’s worth it.

The Marriage Train
Monday, July 20, 2009
Do you ever feel like you just don’t love your spouse anymore?

The fact is, love is not dependent on our feelings & emotions. The fact is feelings come & go. None of us always feels intensely romance and loving towards our spouse.

In a genuine love relationship, there are times of closeness and caring, but there are also times of distance and disinterest.

And worst of all, there are times of apathy when a couple feels nothing at all. Emotions are very unstable. And you can’t build anything so permanent on something so shaky.

The key to a lifelong love is found in a commitment of the will, which is like the engine of the train. It’ll keep you moving down the right track.

Once you have make up your mind to have a successful marriage, no matter what, you’ll no longer be shaken by the ebb and flow of emotions.

Which end of the train is pulling your marital relationship? It’s a question worth pondering.

Stained...
Thursday, July 16, 2009
I don’t even know that I am so affected, much more on the reason why.

But when he mentioned about thank-you speeches on the way home last night, the sharp pinch I experienced is real. It’s been a month, and I thought I have gotten over it –Apparently not.

Is it because he didn’t give credit when it’s due? Or the fact that he CAN lie with a straight face? Or the decision not to tell the truth, and what’s the reason behind it? No matter what, the magical first time is ruined. Stained with a lie…

In fact, I have much wished that I had never attended the session. At least the pictures will lie and I can look at it with sweetness and pride.

Now, every time I recall, it’s the ache that greeted me.
And I hate it.

Day 4 Hong Kong - The Peak
Sunday, July 12, 2009
Level 3 typhoon warning has been hoisted for the whole day. But bring 2 ignorant Singaporeans, we still make our way to the peak. WITHOUT UMBRELLA.

After a handkerchief-twisting ride up the hill (the train was going at an incline of 50 degree!), we both made it up there. The wind was so scary I have problem standing firmly on my two feet.
I'll let the picture do the talking...

Not all bad things turn out to be bad. I believe when bad things happened, it's up to one to make the most of the situation. In this situation, we could have sit in the hotel room & sulk. Instead we take it (weather) all in our stride and we were rewarded with this:
It's just so amazing! Sun light pouring in from a hole in the cloud!

If you ask me, I'd much prefer to see this than the normal, sunny, everything-oh-so-nice view. I always have a thing for things less common.

Time flies when you are having fun and tonight will be my last in Hong Kong.

I end my trip with this...
Woo~ It's so close, I could feel his heart beat!!!!! *hyper-ventilate*

Hong Kong day 3 - Sale!!!!
Saturday, July 11, 2009
It's the Shopping at the Central today. So needless to say, the card suffered.

The Summer-sale here put GSS to shame. Everything was going at 50-70% off! pow that's what I called a decent sale. 20-30% is nothing much really.

And the suduction of 40%-off Prada items made us brave, taking a bus to HK's residential area to Prada factory outlet. The bus ride was a nerve-breaking 30+ min. But our lucky stars might be watching over us. We met a lady who's going the same way, as she lives there. So we reach the place smoothly.

However, the trip was more than disappointing. The entire miu miu collection was... 12 bags.

Well, think of the experience. At least we get a chance to see HK mega-high HDB up close.

Hong Kong Day 2 - Lantau Island
Friday, July 10, 2009
It's been a real work out today.

Lautau Island demand sweat & hard work from everyone, and in return, it will give you... tan lines. Thanks to the "perfect weather for photo-taking", I now have a permenent T-shirt imprint on my body.

Talking about souvenirs! :(

Luckily, there's always another side of the coin, and that will be the mouth-dropping scenery from on top the cable car. I didn't expect to see such views on this trip. But I'm not complaining.
Wisdom achieved.
These wisdoms are backed by the Lantau Island... 有靠山...
On a sweet ending note, factory outlets does provide some psychological relieve... heh heh heh....

Hong Kong Day 1
Thursday, July 09, 2009
We walked the whole of today!!
Scavenging the whole of Mongkok for Fancl House. Only to realised we got the instruction wrong. All the passerbys we asked for directions told us the same thing - the shop is in the train station (火车站)but we had circled Mongkok MTR station for several round and had not spotted it.

It is actually at the Grand Central Plaza, the choo-choo train station, not modern train!!!
Sigh, so much 冤枉路...

On the side note, Argyle is every girl's paradise. =D
And Hotel Benito exceeded our expectation. Not only is it nice & clean & comfortable, it is down right convenient. MTR station and the whole shopping belt, right at our doorstep!

Chao~ To Lantau Island tomorrow!
